A rest stop on the information superhighway...

The purpose of this organization is to provide a last refuge of possible internet-based information sources, when all other sources have failed. If you've webbed, gophered, and archied your way across the internet, and you've failed to uncover some arcane bit of knowledge regarding a particular topic, then this page will be your last, best hope.

What I am endeavoring to achieve here is a gathering together of a body of experts in a wide array of subjects, all of whom have accessible internet email addresses. Such willing participants would send me their email addresses, a list of their areas of expertise, and a brief description of their credentials. I will then update the category list below with the subject areas, and under the appropriate area, list the name, credentials, and an HTML link to the email address of the expert in that area.

The users who find their way onto this web page can scan through the categories listed, locate the appropriate subject, then scan the list of experts under that subject heading. Once an appropriate expert is selected, the email link is accessed, and the seeker of knowledge may then contact the selected authority directly through his/her mailbox.

Notes to the Users

First, this is not some sort of joke thing, like the Usenet Oracle. It is intended for people who are trying to track down some sort of important information, as part of a legitimate research project, for personal, business, or educational purposes.

Second, because they are busy people, you may not receive a response in any sort of timely fashion. (As I mentioned earlier, this is the last place to look for help. We'll do what we reasonably can, but in the end, we're only human.)

Third, we offer no guarantee that the information you may receive is actually of any use to you, or, in fact, that you'll receive any information at all. We'll try to provide direct answers to direct questions, whenever possible. However, if the answers are going to run too long, we may just recommend another source of information, such as a book title, which discusses the information you seek. Remember, we're here to help you find information, not invent it.

Fourth, the Knights are not to be held legally liable for any information we dispense. If your life, carreer, etc, relies on the answers given, find another source of information to verify it. (The local library might be worth a trip.)

As a practical consideration, if your email to an address given here is bouncing, let me know, and I'll look into it.

Notes to Potential Knights

This whole project is an experiment in building an international cyberspace community. We are not here to promote any specific theology, political system, economic system, or for that matter, any personal opinion. What we are looking for is people that are willing to unconditionally assist the users in obtaining or locating needed information in an unbiased, non-judgemental fashion. There is no monetary compensation offered for this service - only the pleasure of knowing you've helped a fellow human being. It was in this spirit that the name of this organization, "The Sacred Knights of Cyberspace", was selected.

If all this appeals to you, and you think you'll have the spare time to devote to this, send me the data requested at the top of this page, and I'll edit you in as my time permits.

If, at any time, you decide you're not cut out for this, or don't have the time, or don't like my haircut, etc., send me some email requesting to bow out, and, again, I'll edit you out of the page as my time permits.
